Title: Elementary
Author: Waffles
Pairing: Gen, John & Sherlock friendship
Length: 8448
Author's summary:This story was inspired by a great drawing I saw on dA and promptly lost the link to, but in any case, I don't think a bit more warm-fuzzy kid!fic can do this fandom much harm, no?
Rating: PG
Warnings: Light language?
Verse: Sherlock BBC
Reccer's comments: The author has somehow managed to write kidfic, and place it so neatly in canon that it absolutely fits without any need to lean towards AU. A believable encounter between a young John and Sherlock, both alone in the park one sunny day. They are absolutely themselves, beginning to form the characteristics we know so well. It feels right that while this day is a bit of a formative event for them, their adult selves don't fully remember or make the connection. Moments of sweet and adorable and make-your-cheeks-hurt-from-grinning, but some very real more serious issues going on around them as well. Basically, the perfect kidfic even for people who hate kidfic. Give it a try.

Title: Sherlock in Violin
Artist: wuyemantou, aka [livejournal.com profile] xxxxxx_6x
Pairing: none (gen)
Rating: G
Verse: Sherlock BBC

Reccer's comments: This is simply one of the most stunning works of art I've ever seen. I have a fondness for anything that combines Sherlock and his violin, but I've rarely had my breath taken away as I do with this piece. There's a sense of flowing movement and sensuality, something moody and almost ethereal. The lines and angles - of Sherlock's jaw and neck, his arms, his pose - it's truly gorgeous.

It really must be viewed.
