Title: Untitled (Ventriloquism)
Author: Anonymous
Pairing: Gen
Length: very short
Rating: G
Warnings: None
Verse: Sherlock BBC

Author's summary: Oh my god, I should NEVER write at two o'clock in the morning. Or ever, really. I just couldn't resist the prompt, it was too cute.

Reccer's comments: From the Sherlock BBC Prompting Meme. Original prompt: "Sherlock uses ventriloquism to make his skull talk to John at odd times." I laugh out loud every time I read this. Pure silliness. Exquisite crack.

Title: Mediation
Author: KCScribbler
Pairing: Gen
Length: 1752 words
Rating: K
Warnings: None
Verse: Sherlock BBC

Author's summary: Written for the sherlockbbc_fic kink meme prompt of Either John and Sherlock or Sherlock and Lestrade have a gigantic row and vow never to speak a word to each other again. Meanwhile, there's a crime scene to investigate. How do they proceed? Sign language? Using a third party as a go-between? Monologuing aloud bitterly? Idek, people. I'm just looking for some crime scene humour. Bonus points if it ends up in a spectacular reconciliation. (Still on the crime scene.)

Reccer's comments: Another appearance of the Skull. This fic manages to be both silly-funny and show why John & Sherlock's relationship works so well. It also shows they're relationship from the outside, and makes it charming, if weird. Very well done.

Title: Can I Be the Alpha?
Author: faviconTrista_zevkia
Pairing: John/Sherlock
Length: 4,647 words
Rating: Explicit
Warnings: None
Verse: Sherlock BBC
Author's summary: Did you ever wonder where the Omegaverse came from? So does John. Sherlock is strangely silent on the subject...

Reccer's comments: For my last rec of the month, a very clever, half crack, half meta piece that manages to maintain its perspective. An absolute must-read if you are into Omegaverse, foreknowledge of which is probably necessary to fully appreciate this. What else can I say? Um, casefic of a sort as well.

Excerpt:

Sherlock knew he was a selfish man and not about to give up John again. The thought of John with another person, even a woman, did not compute. Clearly, Sherlock needed to make more Johns without female assistance. Maybe it wasn’t biologically possible, but Sherlock was a chemist.

Title: Bathtub Pr0n
Author: Spacefall
Pairing: Holmes/Watson
Rating: Explicit
Warnings: None
Verse: ACD Books

Author's summary: A little pornier than intended, which I assume is not a problem. Look, it's hard to resist the obvious when squishing two characters into a bathtub! *hangs head* The pic here is such a cliché, but surely every pairing needs a bathtub pic like this?

Reccer's comments: This is a lovely piece I keep going back to again and again with pleasure every time. There's something about the atmosphere that's soothing, amongst the definite hotness. Holmes is not only making Watson feel good, he's also emotionally engaged and cherishing him, and Watson appreciates it all. I also really like the dreamy style, and the water is really well done.

Title: Matchmaker, Matchmaker
Author: Vash137
Pairing: John/Sherlock
Length: 62,537 words
Rating: Teen and Up
Warnings: None
Verse: Sherlock BBC

Author's summary: Written for SherlockBBC_fic prompt(LINK: http://sherlockbbc-fic.livejournal.com/6375.html?thread=28912103#t28912103):

Sherlock, upon discovering that John is bisexual but has sworn off men, makes it his mission to help set John up on various dates so he can find the perfect man. Hilarity ensues. Sherlock/John: Pre-slash moving to Slash.

Reccer's comments: I don't even know how to describe this fic. Sherlock is kind of terrifying in his insistence on proper scientific method and research while trying to "fix" John's love life. John is long-suffering and, at times, just plain suffering. There are improbable but highly entertaining dates that work for the story, engaging characters, and the emotional story holds up. BAMF!John makes an appearance or two (or three), and Sherlock gets in touch with his emotional self. It's quite a ride. Enjoy!

Title: Fucking Cake
Author: Random_Nexus
Pairing: John/Sherlock
Length: 12,967 words
Rating: Explicit
Warnings: None
Verse: Sherlock BBC

Author's summary: Sherlock brings home a chocolate cake, John finds him about to have sex with said cake, then exceedingly weird hijinx ensue.

Reccer's comments: Crack of the highest order. Extremely hot crack of an even higher order. With a large helping of silliness. And enough chocolate to sate even the most extreme addiction. You get high off chocolate fumes just reading this fic. Warning for onset of extreme cravings for sex and/or chocolate and/or cake - ideally all together. Don't say I didn't warn you!
