Open Rec Day Theme 2: At Home

This month's open rec day is a bit late. Apologies all around.

The rec theme this time is for works taking place entirely within the home of one of the characters: in the famous domicile of 221B, in Mycroft's lair (or club), in Molly's flat, in Moriarty's fortress of evil, in Lestrade's untidy house.

This is your advance notice. Open rec day will be next Wednesday.

The facts:
Make your recs on Wednesday, September 28. The comm will be open for that day to all posters for recs on the above theme--if it's Wednesday where you live, the comm should be open for your post.
Fic, art, and vids may be recced. All versions of Sherlock Holmes sources are eligible for recs. Recent WIPs or RPF for actors or crew in the various series are not eligible.
Previously recced works are eligible.
Please follow the recs guidelines. One rec per post, please, unless you're reccing a series.
Please tag your posts with at least the minimum tags required (verse, slash/gen/het genre, and pairing if relevent) plus "theme: at home".

Reccer's comments: This is a series of short stories about the retirement years. It's heartbreaking in one way, but the final story, though sad, left me with a sense of completion that eased the hurt. I love this because it isn't angst for the sake of angst. This Sherlock and John are very real and very human, and that is very beautiful.

Author's summary: John tries to figure out just what Sherlock and Lestrade are to one another and realizes that not everything can be so neatly defined. A series of moments.

Reccer's comments: I'm on a definite Lestrade fix at the moment and there are definitely not enough Sherlock/Lestrade fics out there; the tv series just set these two up so perfectly for delving into their complex relationship. Here impishtubist brilliantly uses John as the outsider to try and get to the bottom of just what the relationship is between Sherlock and Lestrade  through a series of short vignettes and with very believable interactions. And the brilliant thing about this fic is even at the end, you are still trying to work it out.
