We're adding this one:

If you rec fic, art, or a vid that's a remix, please identify the original author and work that was remixed after the remix work's title.
We've added a "genre: remix" tag to be used as well.

This would look like (work chosen at random from remixes on AO3):
Author:
Title: Sally Donovan's Legs; a remix of Elevate by [livejournal.com profile] doodle
Pairing: Sherlock/John; Sally/Sherlock
Length: 534 words
Rating: Mature
Verse: Sherlock BBC
Author's summary: John inadvertently triggers memories that Sherlock thought he had deleted.

This will be added to the guidelines post

Also: When you rec a crossover, please include the crossover fandom in the header! It's important information for the reader, who may or may not be interested in reading a crossover or in reading that particular fandom. As we've noted in the rec template, this information should go under "Verse":

Title: In the Genes
Author: [livejournal.com profile] alice_day
Pairing: Gen
Length: 7,400-ish words
Rating: PG
Verse: Sherlock BBC, House MD crossover
Author's summary: A diagnostician and a detective must join forces to solve a mystery that threatens both their lives.

Thanks!

Title: Sherlock vs Moriarty - It's a Brand New Day
Music Title & Artist: Neil Patrick Harris, "Brand New Day" from Dr Horrible's Sing-Along Blog
Vidder: zceepy
Pairing or Character: Gen
Verse: Sherlock BBC
Link: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0T6DfmfVSpk

Reccer's Comments: If you have not yet seen Dr Horrible's Sing-Along Blog, STOP EVERYTHING AND DO SO NOW. It is completely hilarious. This video is set to one of the songs from it, and the editing is just marvelous. Everything syncs up perfectly, and the clips zceepy chose work so well with the lyrics. I don't know if this necessarily counts as a crossover because all the clips are from Sherlock, but I'm tagging it as one anyway, just to make it easier to find for people who are looking for crossovers and do consider this to be one (I'll keep the verse as Sherlock though, since that's all we really see).

Title: Match
Author: Anonymous
Pairing: John/OCs, John & Lestrade friendship
Length: 27 comments long
Rating: NC-17
Warnings: Non-con, dub-con, and mild violence. Themes of victim-blaming and lots of guilt.
Verse: Sherlock BBC
Author's summary: Kink meme prompt (which itself may be potentially triggery): Uni!John was in the rugby team. After getting a bit drunk he agrees to let his team 'have some fun with him' but after a few guys he asks them to stop. They carry on.
Reccer's comments: If that summary hits some buttons for you, then you’ll probably enjoy this take on the scenario. The first eight parts contain the incident, and the rest is a sensitive and nuanced exploration of the aftermath and recovery, all without the common trope of magic healing cock. John is a really decent and normal kind of bloke, with hints of the badass adrenaline junkie he’ll come to be, and watching him deal with this situation and its aftermath is hurty in the best kind of way. Lestrade is also lovely here as a young detective trying to do the right thing, and doing it in his own Lestrade way. All in all, a very satisfying read, and if you’re a fan of non-con stories, an absolute paragon.
