Reccer's comments: This is an incredibly fascinating look at the Holmes brothers' childhood from Mycroft's POV, with a distinct and interesting (though unsettling) take on Mummy. The relationship between young Mycroft and even younger Sherlock is also very well- and painfully rendered. Perhaps not the fic to turn to if you're looking for a happy ending, but it will definitely stick with you for a while, I think.

Good, if disturbing, story. It also does a fantastic job of explaining Mycroft's obsession with monitoring his brother in the series, as well as Sherlock's animosity towards Mycroft and his unhealthy relationship with food.
