Reccer's comments: This was one of the first fics I remember reading in this fandom. Written in the hiatus between Series 1 and Series 2, this striking little vignette focuses on John's heroics and, more subtly, on his adrenaline addiction. It's interesting to see how this aspect of his character was handled based only on the first three episodes of the series. And in a post-Reichenbach fandom, this particular scenario takes on new resonance (in this story, Sherlock is forced to watch John jump).
