Old but goodies

Does it matter how old a rec is? Bookverse fandom is such a delicious old slow burner of a fandom that I have ancient recs to give out ^_^

I'm going to suggest that you make it one rec per post, so that people can use tags to quickly find the kinds of stories they're interested in. (check out the tags at holmes finders for a good format for tags.)

I second this. It makes it easier to find recced works by tag and the reccer can go into more detail.

What if you have only one or two recs as opposed to signing up for a month? Can you do a random rec every so often?

Thanks for this comm.

Re: tags, it's probably a good idea to allow only mods to create tags for the comm to use, to make sure that you don't get multiple versions of the same thing.

Hi, fantastic idea!

Just wondering if you are interested in affiliates? I run [livejournal.com profile] sherlock_search and would love to affiliate with you.

When one's reccing month comes around, do you assign us specific days on which we're to post our recs, or do we just independently make our posts throughout the month, making sure that they're well spaced, etc.?

Question, here: when reccing a series with several installments, can we mess up the template a bit, if the author, pairing and 'verse remain the same, for instance, and make a general reccer's comment at the end? repeating the author's name and 'ACD 'verse' six times just seems a little... silly. In other words, it would be like this:

Title (of the series):
Author:
Pairing:
'Verse:

And then a shorter template for each instalment, like so:

Title:
Length:
Author's Summary:
Rating:
Warnings:

And a final note with the explanation for the rec. Y/N?

Lovely, thanks. Posting it now, but it makes for a rather long post — tell me if I need to put the instalments under a cut, or something. &hearts

A question about WIPs. Is it alright to rec a finished story that has a WIP sequel?

If I found a fanart that is an image that is exactly like a moment in a fic, even though the art wasn't made for the fic, can I put both in one entry?

do we recc'ers need to update the Delicious or Spreadsheet?
