Title: [Pencil] Case of the Blind Banker
Artist: sorrel_forbes
Pairing: Gen
Rating: G
Warnings: N/A
Verse: Sherlock BBC
Author's summary: Sebastian Wilkes sends a letter: Sherlock, Buddy, can you solve this pencil case for me?
Reccer's comments: And now for something a bit different.
This art rec is more specifically a textile art and puzzle rec. The piece consists of four parts:
I must admit I didn’t manage to solve the puzzle but that didn’t stop me from enjoying it. It’s beautiful to look at and the solution is rather satisfying. Also interesting—I learnt something new from it.
NB: The artist doesn’t formally label it as a series but this is the first of three similar pencil case puzzles. The other two are Everything of Importance and Of Course She Had a Pink Case! (Both gen and rated G.)

This art rec is more specifically a textile art and puzzle rec. The piece consists of four parts:
- a decorated envelope;
- the message inside it (accompanied by similar decorations);
- a pencil case made up of patchwork squares, some of them embroidered;
- and the contents of the pencil case—little squares and rectangles of paper with pictures, words and numbers on them.
I must admit I didn’t manage to solve the puzzle but that didn’t stop me from enjoying it. It’s beautiful to look at and the solution is rather satisfying. Also interesting—I learnt something new from it.
