Reccer's comments: A worldwide plague has broken out and Mycroft has room in a safe facility for Sherlock & Mummy but not for John. This scenario lets random_nexus gives us what every fandom needs - an apocalypse AU filled with heartrending emotion. The angst is unavoidable because we know that Sherlock would never leave John's side and that John would do what's best no matter how dear the price. Great writing, strong emotion and an end to the world as we know it make this a must read.

Is this a WIP? I only got to part 25 and it ended just before the smexytimes. It hasn't been updated there since the new year.
It's a pretty great story, I'd love more.
