Title: The Spy Who Stayed For Tea
Author:
mundungus42
Pairing: Sherlock/Mary/John
Length: 7,425
Rating: Teen and up
Warnings: None
Verse: Sherlock BBC, Marvel
Author's summary: Moriarty's return catches the world by surprise, but it's only part of a much larger problem. Mary's former employer tracks her down to ask for her help.
Reccer's comments: This is a fantastic Marvel crossover that weaves Mary’s mysterious backstory with the going’s on in Captain America: The Winter Soldier and Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. The Spy Who Stayed For Tea is clever and funny, and it is an absolute delight seeing a certain character in the same room as Mary Morstan. And THIS, this Mary Morstan is one I can possibly even see myself liking while still being consistent with Season 3 canon. Everyone in this is deliciously in character and universally performing at a level that I can hear and see as if it were canon.
I tried and tried to decide on a section to excerpt, but ultimately I simply can’t decide on a piece that rises above the rest without the risk of spoiling any of the magnificent jokes or carefully crafted crossover details.
