Reccer's comments: This truly exquisite piece of writing was just posted today on the holmestice community. In one sense it's a RF return fic; in another it's not. The story incorporates aspects of magical realism, and yet this story is entirely about John and Sherlock, who they are together, and who they are apart. There is beauty to it, and grace, and love. 'A Winter Walk' left me aching, in the best possible way.
