Title: The most important thing about BBC Sherlock's "A Scandal In Belgravia"
Author: Hello Tailor
Pairing: None (unless you include Irene/wallpaper)
Length: Short
Rating: Gen
Warnings: None
Verse: Sherlock BBC
Author's summary: A Scandal In Belgravia: the great wallpaper conspiracy. (Oh yeah.)
Reccer's comments: It tickles my fancy that there's an entire blog post on the wallpapers of "A Scandal in Belgravia." It tangentially includes Hello Tailor's thoughts on Sherlock Holmes, sexual politics, and BBC Sherlock's wardrobe department's choices. (He gets a lot in there for such a short piece.) But the wallpaper gets the lion's share of the admiration and the snark.

Date: 2013-11-25 11:31 am (UTC)I swear, I am now in love with that fancy wallpaper and will one day recreate 221B when I get my own apartment, down to the papers on the walls and the backsplash tiles in the kitchen. Either that or 12 Grimmauld Place. Possibly a combination of the two. Elf heads next to a periodic table on the wall.
There is always a hue and cry in the comments section of any fic where post-fall tenants of 221B have taken down the paper or Mrs H had the place redone. It really is a beloved character in Sherlock, at least as much as the skulls.
