It is on a Sunday Evening that Sherlock Holmes shares his first kiss with John Watson. This is the story of the week that happened in-between.

This is entirely different from my first rec. The language used is wonderful, there are some brilliant lines in this, too many for me to give examples of, because I'd just end up posting the entire fic here. The imagery is beautiful and is painted simply, with few words, but it's very effective.

The love Sherlock feels for John colours all Sherlock's other emotions, and it all feels very real. It's quiet and melancholy, very much like when one is in (unrequited, at least to begin with) love with their best friend.

Its one of the first fics I read in the fandom, and it's one I keep going back to.
