You might have noticed that the Open Recs Posts have been pretty irregular for a while. We're really sorry about that. But we've come to the decision that we're going to have only one post per month for the forseeable future.
On with the show:
As always, you're invited to post in comments here any recs or requests for recs for fic, vids, art, or podfic. All versions of Sherlock Holmes are welcome, as are WIPs.

Relationships: Sherlock Holmes/John Watson, John Bates/Anna Smith
Summary: Desperate to free her husband from prison, Anna Smith Bates tracks down Holmes in the country retreat he shares with Dr. Watson and persuades him to come out of retirement and investigate the death of Vera Bates. Holmes visits Downton Abbey under an assumed identity, with Watson in disguise as his valet. Working together again helps them cope with a recent trauma that severely tested their longstanding relationship--and also allows them to uncover a solution consistent with and yet so much more satifying than the one used on the actual show.
Great crossover between ACD Holmes and Downton Abbey. It will probably enhance your reading experience to know Downton Abbey, but it's not necessary. Established H/W and AU of Downton with spoilers through the beginning of series 3.
