Reccer's comments: A retirement fic with a twist and a lovingly crafted outlook on a relationship between Sherlock and Irene that is actually conceivable. Both are sadder and wiser and yet they’ve remained themselves. Irene is as playful and sly as when we first met her and Sherlock just as weary of her, but also, as much in love with her wit.

The tone is mellow, the language beautiful.
