Reccer's comments: This surreal little story explores Sherlock's gradually shifting priorities and the way that his friendship with John begins to alter the way he organizes his own mind. It was based on this prompt: "After a few years of knowing each other, Sherlock starts to meet up with John in his dreams so John can help him decide what to delete from his hard drive/brain attic." There's something so cozy and warm about this vignette with its oddities and humor and eye for detail. It's stuck with me.

Reccer's comments: What can I say? Beautiful, beautiful art. Aside from being a flawlessly executed portrait, this piece elegantly presents a deeper look at Sherlock's inner emotions. John's empty armchair, painted in the warm colors evoking home and hearth and positioned inside Sherlock's chest, could represent his heart. Or is it a dormant source of destruction, just waiting to explode?
