Reccer's comments: Sherlock stays with Molly after faking his death - as seen through the eyes of Molly's cat, Toby. There's an interesting contrast between Toby's simple, self-centered concerns, and the danger, tension, and awkwardness that's hanging around Sherlock and Molly. This fic captures the feeling of the unexpected house guest perfectly, and Sherlock and Molly are both spot-on in characterization. This is a quick, fun read from an author who has been writing in the fandom for six months now but whose fics have yet to get much attention.

Excerpt: The tall human gave him a withering look. He then gave one to Toby’s human. Toby was really rather offended. He voiced his disappointment with a hiss.

‘Sorry, he’s not very good with strangers,’ Toby’s human said.

Obviously, Toby said.

‘Obviously,’ the tall human said.

Toby was set back on the floor while his human went off with the tall one, making nervous conversation and giggly noises. The tall human didn’t have much to say. He then sat on Toby’s sofa, like he had every right to.

Toby huffed in disapproval and jumped to sit on a window sill, hidden behind a sheer curtain. His human made tea for the stranger and forgot to feed Toby.

Reccer's comments: In this romantic adventure, the BBC Sherlock characters are in their proper BBC Sherlock universe, with the Firefly crew transplanted to twenty-first century London, and it somehow, magically works. I found the Firefly characters completely believable in their new setting, and Kaylee adorable, as Kaylee is. I love Kaylee so much and think that the author really caught her voice here. There's a hint of John/Sherlock in the background (John is also adorable). Not a long story, but a sweet story that will leave you smiling and happy for Greg.
