Author's summary: It’s around about when John’s in a white dinner jacket, shooting out security cameras and running from guards through the skyscraper of a media tycoon-cum-gentleman blackmailer, that he realises he’s probably gone well and truly mad. He couldn’t really care less, though. And hey — he and Sherlock started out sharing a flat; how appropriate if they end up sharing a prison cell. (A BBC Sherlock update of The Adventure of Charles Augustus Milverton.)

Reccer's comments: This is a brilliant adaptation of The Adventure of Charles Augustus Milverton. Milverton is well and truly evil in this, a nastily unctuous individual you really love to hate. And he's just a blackmailer! There are loads of brilliantly written action sequences in this, portraying both John and Sherlock (but mostly John) at their BAMF best. There are several moments showcasing Sherlock's latent humanity when his emotions threaten to get the best of him. A prime example of this is during an emotionally breathtaking violin concerto performed by Sherlock himself. The author's descriptions of his performance along with the piano and orchestra are intense and visceral. Add a dash of humor resulting from our boys posing as - yes, you guessed it - a couple during a brief scene, and you have the perfect case fic. Highly enjoyable and highly recommended.
