Reccer's comments: A delightfully amusing story that gets better with each re-read. Even though it's quite short, it leaves a lasting impression. Sherlock's "voice" as you follow him through a well thought-out mini-mystery is spot on, and the John/Lestrade friendship is too cute for words! Interspersed throughout the fic (and adding to the mystery) is a conversation by two unknown people at an unknown time and has great banter. To sum up: I was smiling by the last line, and I'm sure you will be too!

Excerpt: He was almost tempted to turn it down, engrossed as he was in the case of John Watson and the potential boyfriend thief, but he was tempted by the opportunity to observe John's behaviour outside the flat. Besides, it might be a good idea right now to remind John of how brilliant he was.
