Reccer's comments: I will admit right now that I'm typing out the beginning of this rec when I'm only halfway through reading this fic. A long case fic, it follows John around as he and Sherlock work together to solve a rather peculiar murder. The case is very well thought-out, the OCs are dynamic and pretty interesting by themselves, the canon characters are so brilliantly in character it hurts, and the story kinda sucks you in early on and keeps you reading until the end, even when it's freakin' two at night. So worth it.
