I especially appreciate the slow dawning realization of who the mugging victim is as well as Harry's bemusement at the energetic response in looking for "Johnny." This one should not be missed!

Reccer's comments: Like I said before, I am a hopeless case when it comes to John/Lestrade. I love them together and I want ALL THE SHIPPING. This is a really lovely story, or series of stories, that puts an interesting spin on their relationship. I don't think I've ever seen Lestrade done as asexual before, but it works so well here. Her portrayal of their relationship is wonderful and makes my heart go all pitterpattermelt<3 If you're at all interested in J/L and are looking for something a bit different than the usual J/L+S dynamic that seems to have become standard fanon for this ship (probably because it is awesome, and great fun to read about; I am not against J/L+S in the slightest), definitely, definitely give this a go.

Part one does not link to part two, so I've put them both up at the top. Part one can stand on its own, but it's kind of like Christmas, or the favored holiday of your choosing, to come to the end and realise "oh wait, there's more!"
