I've re-read this story at least twice since I came across it. If you like hurt!Watson and caring!Holmes, this is definitely a must-read!
rabidsamfan paints a vivid picture of Watson's state of mind a year after having returned to England, and how he tries to cope with what's happened to him during the war. His grief and perceived loneliness amid the sea of people in London really make my heart ache for him.

It's not a very happy piece, all in all, but with Holmes taking care of Watson and trying to make him feel better it is sure to make you smile anyway. :)

The fic was inspired by a beautiful piece of art by spacefall. It's spoilery though, so you might want to read the story first.
