Reccer's comments: Popping in with a zombie fic rec, because there's a zombie parade happening today and it seems like a good excuse to rec one of my favs.

There's a warning for zombies, but this is not like any other zombie fic I've ever read. I don't want to give anything away, because this fic packs a punch or two and it's best to go into it without a lot of preconceptions. So I'm just going to say that if there was ever going to be a zombie in the Sherlock BBC universe, this is the way it would happen. It's not enough to point out that Sherlock and John are in-character in this story - it's more that, given Sherlock and John's characters, this is a direction I could absolutely see things going. And given the subject matter, that's a pretty amazing feat of the author.

I think that what I like most about this fic is Sherlock. He def. knows that this isn't good. He wants to be kind of excited about the fact that something totally new has happened but he knows that really it's all kinds of bad.

It's a great story.
