Title: Sherlock ACD
Author: NLR Alicia
Pairing: Holmes/Watson
Rating: All
Verse: ACD
Reccer's comments: I'm not quite sure how to "rec" this particular author, because I love her so, and yet, she seems to have disappeared off the face of the...internet: Nlr Alicia was one of the first ACD authors I was privileged enough to encounter when I... first encountered this particular fandom. I was a huge Jeremy Brett fan during my teen years, but "fanfiction" was, then, unheard of, at least in my world. I didn't encounter any "Sherlock" fanfic until the BBC show appeared, and I became completely engrossed with those stories until I suddenly remembered...ACD! I went searching for stories and NLR Alicia was one of the first I found. Her stories are, in a word, sublime. They are also, in a word...unfinished. I mean, some of them are. Many are finished and gloriously so. But, some are not. My personal favourite is Just One Breath, which spectacularly encompasses two of my biggest fanfic weaknesses: Hurt! And! Comfort! I simply adore this one, but in all honesty, ALL her stories are...remarkable. But be warned: Some are unfinished, and I stayed up HALF THE NIGHT PORING THROUGH THEM before I realized this very sad fact. Because of the website she has posted to, this is not made clear before you begin reading. But regardless, please visit and enjoy and relish in her glory, for she is wondrous.

Thank you for the rec! I am thrilled to see you reccing here. I suspect I will be looking more into the ACD 'verse, so I'm happy to see new ACD recs. I loved the SH stories as a child and the Granada series as a teen and uni student. I enjoy h/c, so I will be looking through these works!

Agreed. Seems sadly unlikely, though. I guess she just gafiated. Shame.

I wasted half a night once ransacking the internet in hopes she'd posted the ends of her WIPs somewhere else. Does anyone know what became of her? I'm not beyond begging. I bet she has a rough draft on some computer somewhere, because everything I write has about nine tons of rough drafts and false starts. I don't care how rough of a rough draft it is. I'll eat it right up.

I would fly to England to get the last chapters of Venomous Creatures.(Alright, I'd fly to England for fish and chips or a sale at Harrods. Wouldn't take much really). But her Sherlock is hands down one of the best. Period.

The other two all time queens of ACD 'verse are Candlebeck and Katie Forsythe. Oh My God, the Seventeenth Step.
