Reccer's comments: The prose in this piece was absolutely lovely—it fits in so well with the supernatural element here, all of these descriptions written in a way that effortlessly transports me back to fairy tales and breathless magic. Plus the tiny glimpses of worldbuilding! I wasn’t expecting it to span the entirety of their relationship past Reichenbach but I am so so glad that it did. There are some lines in here that absolutely nail the tone perfectly. I could easily read another couple tens of thousands of words of this world. Brilliant. <3

Yes! Cold Burn is such a delicate and beautiful story and I love the ending. I read it twice straightaway to savour it.
