Title: To Show You a Night
Author: [livejournal.com profile] song_lin
Pairing: John/Sherlock
Length: 3,717 words
Rating: NC-17
Warnings: None
Verse: Sherlock BBC
Author's summary:

Sherlock's never had an orgasm before. John crafts a solution.

"I forgot how badly I wanted to fuck your mind.”

Reccer's comments:

I just found this today, and feel it is my duty to spread the greatness to the four corners.

[livejournal.com profile] song_lin has a gift for crafting enthralling sex. It's far from the usual slot A, tab B that predominates in PWPs. Sherlock, of course, refuses to cooperate with that kind of thing. The sensory information is rich, the situation unusual, and the outcome stunning, to the readers and the characters. Oh, and do check out the music she suggests.

My request: If you know of anyone else that writes like this, please tell me!

A few wonderful things I've been reading this week (all BBC Sherlock unless otherwise mentioned):

Tea Index, Sock Index (http://dashlit.livejournal.com/1243.html) (PG) by dashlit. A wonderful return fic that incorporates John's ACD-canon faint into the story.

Mind Palace (http://am-hatescaptcha.livejournal.com/6905.html) (PG-13) by am_hatescaptcha. Amazing crossover with "House of Leaves." Seriously guys, this is just stunning--the author does the footnotes and circular storytelling perfectly. A WIP to watch.

All Of Your Opinions Are Wrong (http://rotaryphones.livejournal.com/15225.html) (PG-13) by rotaryphones. Hilarious, cracky AU in which Sherlock and John are both Brooklyn hipsters. Maybe I just enjoyed this so much because I'm familiar with the territory, but still...just thinking about it cracks me up.

Half Empty (http://marysutherland.livejournal.com/64807.html?view=491047#t491047) (NC-17) by marysutherland. Disturbing, dark and so, so good. Take the dub-con warning seriously, this is not a fic for the light-hearted.

Also, I encourage everyone to check out all the fantastic anonymous entries over at [livejournal.com profile] holmestice. A few I particularly love:

A Study In Patience (http://holmestice.livejournal.com/145058.html) (PG-13) Very hot and funny, ACD Holmes can't help but test Watson's patience.

For You I'll Try (http://holmestice.livejournal.com/142709.html) (PG) Really clever AU, with an unexpected twist at the end!

these are the reasons I think that we're ill (http://holmestice.livejournal.com/146663.html) (Gen). Lovely casefic, surprisingly pensive and melancholic, despite the funny nature of the crime.

Enjoy!
