Reccer's comments: Don’t let the “fantasy vampire AU” fool you – this is NOT your average Sherlock-is-a-vampire story.  Bendingsignpost, who is also the author of the  amazing Watches ‘Verse,  has done an outstanding job of world-building here, with nuanced characters, amazingly hot sex and more twists and turns than a room filled with snakes.  Ben clearly has invested a serious amount of time in getting the details right, and I especially appreciated how he wove elements from the TV canon into this alternative reality.  Reading this chapter-by-chapter was an experience in masochism, because even though the updates were frequent, any delay in finding out What Happens Next was torture.  Lucky you, you get to read it straight through.  Go do so right now – you won’t regret it.

I am glad you recced this; I had considered signing up for a slot so I could be sure somebody did.

Talk about some really amazing, creative, thorough worldbuilding. Here I'd thought there couldn't be anything new in a vampire story. Add on Ben's always excellent characterization and riveting plot and this is instantly a favorite.
