Reccer's comments:  This is the best parrot!Sherlock AU story I’ve ever read,  Granted, it’s the only parrot!Sherlock story I’ve read, but that’s beside the point.  When I started reading this fic, I expected a cracky bit of fun, but somehow this story grabbed hold of me.  It’s wonderfully plotted and strangely in character.  Sherlock-the-macaw’s backstory is particularly touching – I ended up really caring what happened to this hyper-intelligent parrot who is so devoted to his handler/flatmate.
