Second, I'd like to rec, providing there's no limit on how recent fics are? I'm such a bookverse purist that my recs have built up slowly and steadily over years. I'll ask this in the questions post anyway, so that it's there, but if it's not a probblem sign me up ^_^

ETA: Oh, but I won't be able to rec until end of Jan. Pile-up at work, so I'm trying to keep my online jobs to a minimum wherever possible :)

I'm thinking about how to work in rabidsamfan's suggestion. I like the idea of only one rec per post, but this means that people who'd like to rec a lot of fics will have to make a ton of posts... May limit it to 3 recs per post?

Well, one thing to consider is how to handle overlapping recs, especially if you have multiple reccers per month. Particularly at the beginning, some key stories will be on quite a few people's personal rec lists.

Crack Van's limits of one rec per post and twelve recs per month seems reasonable over the long run.

I've just updated the posting rules to "only one rec per post", to make it easier to find stuff via tagging. Don't worry about the tagging right now, I haven't quite worked out the system for it yet. You can post now if you want to and I'll edit the tags later.

Question: With the one rec per post thing...what if you're reccing a series? Can that be in one post?

If it's a series if can be in one post. The "one post per rec" rule is mainly so the tagging will be easier. But for a series I'd assume the verse, pairing, rating ect will be the same. So no problem.
