Fic Rec: Match
Title: Match
Author: Anonymous
Pairing: John/OCs, John & Lestrade friendship
Length: 27 comments long
Rating: NC-17
Warnings: Non-con, dub-con, and mild violence. Themes of victim-blaming and lots of guilt.
Verse: Sherlock BBC
Author's summary: Kink meme prompt (which itself may be potentially triggery): Uni!John was in the rugby team. After getting a bit drunk he agrees to let his team 'have some fun with him' but after a few guys he asks them to stop. They carry on.
Reccer's comments: If that summary hits some buttons for you, then you’ll probably enjoy this take on the scenario. The first eight parts contain the incident, and the rest is a sensitive and nuanced exploration of the aftermath and recovery, all without the common trope of magic healing cock. John is a really decent and normal kind of bloke, with hints of the badass adrenaline junkie he’ll come to be, and watching him deal with this situation and its aftermath is hurty in the best kind of way. Lestrade is also lovely here as a young detective trying to do the right thing, and doing it in his own Lestrade way. All in all, a very satisfying read, and if you’re a fan of non-con stories, an absolute paragon.
