Great start!

I’ve closely followed your wonderful comm for years, and I’m thrilled you imported & are continuing here!

I’ve never had to move an entire comm, so I don’t know all that’s involved. I did notice some LJ references remain. I’m no DW or coding expert; just been on LJ/DW for ten years & a former proofreader.

On the DW profile page

“You can find more information on this as well as our rules here. The sign-up page can be found here.”
both heres link to the LJ version.

The “Please pay attention to the vid rec guidelines!”
the guidelines linked are the LJ page.

On the profile and the sticky page http://221b-recs.dreamwidth.org/499894.html the “posting links” code block shows <dw-user=“”> but that doesn’t work, more below.

DW User heads != LJ

DW has minimized the syntax for userheads to

<user name=sample site=domain>
no quotes are needed, and just the domain (without the .org or .com). Common ones are:
LJ
tumblr
ao3
IJ
and here on DW itself, site=domain isn’t required

You don't have to declare communities anymore: both DW & LJ automagically use the community user head if the name is a comm.

Neither <lj-user name=221b_recs> nor <dw-user name=221b_recs> work; the enclosed text just disappears from the post.

Summary

code = example

<user name=221b_recs> = [community profile] 221b_recs

<user name=221b_recs site=ao3> = [archiveofourown.org profile] 221b_recs

<user name=221b_recs site=lj> = [livejournal.com profile] 221b_recs

<user name=221b_recs site=ij> = [insanejournal.com profile] 221b_recs

<user name=221b_recs site=tumblr> = [tumblr.com profile] 221b_recs

<user name=221b_recs site=twitter> = [twitter.com profile] 221b_recs

all the supported domains are in FAQ 87:

note that Facebook is not and never will be supported.
