Reccer's comments: This vignette does more in 1100 words than I've seen some fics do in 50k. The prose is gorgeous, lithe and adept and precise, the worldbuilding is rich, and the characterization is perfect. The different times and possibilites are like looking through a prism. 221b's are an underappreciated art, and merripestin is a master at them.
