It is in deed a superb bit of fic. I don't normally read present tense fic, but this makes it work.
I do wish, however, that the English beta had been a bit more on the ball. There are some jarring Americanisms that creep in - 'purse', 'crosswalk', etc.
And New Scotland Yard is rather bigger than the writer implies!
