Reccer's comments: This fic is like a punch in the gut. The author's visceral, visual, incredibly literate style perfectly captures the gritty, uneasy, angry seesaw of tension between Holmes and Watson that the film could only hint at.
These are two flawed heroes who are inextricably bound together. This is angst with a capital 'A', my friends, and yet, in the ending, there is a certain sense of contentment between them that feels utterly and completely right.
