Title: No faked deaths today sorry
Artist: ireallyshouldbedrawing on tumblr
Pairing: Gen
Rating: not rated, I would say G
Warnings: none
Verse: ACD Books
Author's summary: Happy May 4th, Everyone! No faked deaths today sorry
Reccer's comments: This is the Reichenbach AU I never knew I wanted. THIS IS IT.
It's such a simple, dynamic, exciting image. I think it's the hallmark of a great comic and cartoon artist to be able to create bodies caught up in complex motion. I love the way Watson is braced as a counterweight to Holmes, I love the desperate twist of Holmes's limbs traced by those flying coattails. I love Watson's bowler hat flying off into the ether.
I love Watson saving the day in the most direct and literal way possible. THANK YOU. YESSSSSSS.
(Also, I am a bit surprised that this is the first time ireallyshouldbedrawing has been recc'd on this comm. They have a large and lovely catalogue of Holmesian art, so if you like this you might enjoy exploring their "Sherlock Holmes" tag.)
