Title: A Study in [DATA EXPUNGED]Author: berlynn_wohl
Pairing: Sherlock/John
Length: 30573
Rating: Explicit
Warnings: Dark and gruesome material. Also, non-human!Sherlock, and a couple of instances of self-mutilation whilst under the influence of things that are not drugs. This is a crossover with
The SCP Foundation and so if you know that, you know the kind of thing to expect. Unhappy - or, not happy, ambiguous maybe? ending.

Author's summary: From the author: ***Please be advised that this fic features dark and gruesome content throughout.*** . AU in which John and Sherlock work for the SCP Foundation.
Reccer's comments: Aaaahhh I love the SCP foundation so I jumped on this like a rash. I adore the atmosphere of SCP, half creepypasta, half the shenanigans that would definitely occur if this sort of thing was real and manned by humans, and berlynn_wohl nails it.
The back story of how John and Sherlock end up working for SCP fits perfectly, and it's so so intriguing. There are links to SCPs littered throughout the fic (warning: the SCP rivals TV tropes in its ability to suck time - in fact, I find it more time-sucking!), which just add to the story.
The relationship is perfect, and John's reactions to working in an exciting and dangerous place are spot on. I loved every word of this.
Sherlock and John are both members of task force O-23. O-23 is nicknamed “The Kitchen Sink” and is made up of several dozen personnel, scattered throughout various facilities, to whom the Foundation turns as a last resort. When no one else can survive long enough to capture, contain, decipher, stabilise, or communicate with an SCP, you call in the Kitchen Sink. Some O-23 personnel are field agents, but Sherlock and John are research staff, and work only within the U-62 facility. Membership in this task force gives them Level 5 security clearance and access to Keter-class objects, but they are still subject to Foundation protocols and chains of command.Mods: none of the content tags seem to fit, but there probably should be some here. Self-mutilation at least.
