TitleThe Case of the Missing Valet
Author: Jem's Bird
Pairings H/W established relationship; Jeeves/Wooster; past Mary Morstan/Holmes/Watson
Warning: Major character deaths (eventually)
Rating: R-ish
Word Count: not given, but in nine parts and an epilogue
'Verse: Crossover between retirement era ACD Holmes and Watson and PG Wodehouse's Jeeves and Wooster, very much influenced by the Fry and Laurie portrayals from the UK TV series of the 1990s
Summary: none really given by author but briefly - Bertie Wooster loses his man and finds him to be a different man. Holmes and Watson take on one last case. Any more would be spoiling it.

Why I recommend it: so far as I can see, an authentic Wodehousian telling, and it's given to a clever backstory and case fic where two beautifully imagined worlds collide. The characterisation of all the leads is delicious, the relationships warm but not sugary and her Holmes is a marvel. The end may very well make you tear up, though.

We'd rather have individual recs than links to external rec lists, however. If you have any questions, please comment or PM one of the mods.
