Title: The Detective & Six Wishes
Author:
lotherington
Pairing: Gen
Length: ~7000 all together
Rating: PG
Warnings: Brief mention of alcoholism, a bit of choice language.
Verse: Sherlock BBC
Author's summary: John Watson was seven years and three months old when he first met His Raggedy Detective. He wasn’t expecting the bright red telephone box to crash land in his back garden in the middle of the night, but then, who ever expected such a silly thing to happen in the first place?
Reccer's comments: Doctor Who and Sherlock BBC have crossed over many, many times in many, many fashions but this is the one story that has really stuck with me. It's more of a fusion than anything else but it just feels right.
lotherington does such an elegant job with fine, little touches - her descriptions of the 'raggedy Detective', young John, and then the older, more world-weary John.
This fic has garnered a variety of fan art, which it certainly deserves, as the ideas she presented with this story are fascinating. I would love nothing more than for this universe to continue and expand. I wait with bated breath for more but until then, I at least have this stellar opening and it's equally awesome follow up to keep me satisfied.
