Title: The Case of the Disappearing Brides
Author:
poshcat
Pairing: Sherlock/Sally Donovan
Length: ~16,000 words
Rating: 14+ (author's rating)
Warnings: Slight issue of consent
Verse: Sherlock BBC
Author's summary: Brides are going missing in London. Can Sherlock Holmes convince Sergeant Sally Donovan to go undercover with him as newlyweds to solve the case, even though she loathes the very sight him? Oh, I think he can.
Reccer's comments: As a die hard Sherlock/John shipper, I can't believe this is my first rec of the month! I was expecting to back button out of this fic pretty quickly (I only gave it a try because I've read and enjoyed the author's work in other fandoms), but I was hooked after only a few paragraphs. This story is hilarious, touching, scorchingly hot, not to mention well-crafted and perfectly paced, and the characterization of both Sherlock and Sally is spot on. Don't let the pairing scare you away!
Mods, I don't think a tag exists for this pairing.
