Title: Minutiae (or 156 things I know about you)
Author:
atlinmerrick
Pairing: Sherlock/John, among others
Length: Difficult to quantify. Each “thing” is a drabble(ish) in length, and most of them stand alone, so individually, they’re quite short. (The link above goes to the first entry on her LJ; you can find them all collected on AO3, apparently. Thanks to the mods for that tip!) But they’re like cookies or crisps – can you eat just one? Collectively, this adds up to a massive amount of work, even if you stop at the 156 each (and you don’t have to; she adds more occasionally).
Rating: NC-17, for the whole. Yowza. Individual ones range from G to NC-17, but really, just go in expecting NC-17 to happen eventually (and probably sooner than you think).
Warnings: None per comm guidelines
Verse: BBC Sherlock
Author's summary: Time will tell. That's the beautiful thing about time. It will tell you how you feel about your flatmate, and eventually how he feels about you. It will tell you what to do about those feelings, how to express them, how to make them grow. And as days turn into weeks, and weeks into years, time will tell you nearly everything you need to know about the man you love. Some of the things learned are momentous, most are not. All of them are dear. Here, in no particular order are some of the things John has learned about Sherlock, and some of the things Sherlock has learned about John:
Reccer's comments: If imagining Sherlock and John as the most rampageously, outrageously, unabashedly in-love couple EVER bothers you, don’t go here – but if it doesn’t, RUN to this story, and to Atlin Merrick in general. I am astonished that no one has recommended Atlin here before – I checked the list three times to be sure. This is a great place to start with her work. She’s reached and passed her initial stated goal of 156 things each about Sherlock and John, so it’s “complete” enough to rec, but she adds more occasionally, which is awesome.
