Title: Sometimes Lost Series
Author:
stardust_made
Pairing: Sherlock/John
Length: 16,475
Rating: NC17
Warnings: None
Verse: Sherlock BBC
Author's summary: "He, a doctor and an ex-soldier, a man well into his thirties, and one who has never, ever had a penchant for dramatics, has left his house at past two in the morning running away from his feelings. How has it gotten to this, how? He knows very well how. There is a singularity in his life which swallows all that was before it and distorts all that followed after—walking into a room at St Bartholomew’s hospital and meeting a tall, peculiar-looking, hypnotic man, who flipped John’s world upside down without batting an eyelid."
Reccer's comments:
Sometimes Lost is a thoroughly delicious two-part story in which John discovers that he is physically attracted to Sherlock. What makes this story special goes beyond the touching/amusing UST moments between the two flatmates. Here, the author digs deep--using brilliant character insights--and exposes many of the reasons why these two belong together. The images are so vivid and the portrayal so authentic that you can't help but be drawn into the story. Oh, and the sex is *hot* and very real--a great combination in my books!
Excerpt:
“I didn’t upset you the other night.” It’s a statement but there’s nothing dry and factual about it.
John thinks he now knows how snakes must feel when they’re raised upwards by the hypnotic sound of the flute. Because he doesn’t seem to be able to move or avert his eyes, and neither can he resist the overpowering impulse to own up whatever truth Sherlock wants to hoax out of him. Sherlock, the John Charmer. John simply raises his head and shakes it. No, you didn’t.
