Here's a WIP with a truly unique format: Texts From John and Sherlock (http://textsfromjohnandsherlock.tumblr.com/story_so_far).
The authors call it an interactive text-based fanfiction with occasional interludes of prose. It's half roleplay blog, half epic fanfic. The premise is that, after 'A Scandal in Belgravia', John set up a part of his blog where their fans can send in questions; he and Sherlock then answer them via text.
Do mind the warnings for non-con and torture scenes.
It's a tumblr-based creation, and people really do send in questions either as themselves, anonymously, or as characters from Sherlock. The creators respond (or, in Sherlock's case, ridicule and avoid answering) in-character. They banter back and forth, and when read in order they form a spectacular narrative, with multiple case-fics, a Sherlock who's sexuality is very twisty indeed, and a version of Irene Adler that I find both believable and incredibly admirable.
