Title: My Life That You Might Live
Author:
metisket
Pairing: Gen
Length: ~2000
Rating: PG-13?
Warnings: Off-screen "character death"
Verse: Sherlock BBC
Author's summary: Post-Reichenbach fic about John, because clearly there wasn’t enough depressing post-Reichenbach fic around already. I SENSED A NEED.
Reccer's comments: First off, I'd like to say that the author and I clearly want to hurt ourselves, her by writing the fic and me by reading it. We are probably not very healthy individuals.
Disregarding that for now, this is exactly how I see John right after Sherlock's death. Back to square one, only maybe even worse because there's a hole where Sherlock used to be and nothing (other than Sherlock himself) can fill it up. How he interacts with everyone and how he continues with his life is now dictated by what happened in the episode. The fic kinda asks (and partially answers) the question: What happens now?
