Reccer's comments: I do realise a fic ofstardust_made was recced only last month in this community. Still, stardust_made is such a fantastic writer – one of the best, if not The Best of all the writers in this fandom – so she can’t be recced enough, imho.
Both her psychological insight into what drives the characters and the way she manages to render their voices are simply astounding. She excels in every genre she tries her hand at, whether it is a plot-driven story full of horror, a case fic or a character study.
Her language is wonderfully rich. This is one of the best examples. 2,000 words of exquisite prose – or is it poetry? – filled with mesmerising sights, and whispers, and softly seducing brushes over all the pleasure centres in the reader’s brain. An incredibly generous Irene helps Sherlock to refocus on the task that lies ahead of him. Which is to beat Moriarty so he can return to John. For in the end it is all about John.
Gorgeous and superb from the first word to the last. Don’t deny yourself the pleasure of reading such a glorious work of art!
