Thanks for letting me know. I was baffled as to why this wonderful fic still has so few kudos/hits after being up for over a week now but maybe it's just what you said, that people are afraid of a sad ending. I hope they will see this rec or others (or check the tags for the happy ending!) and give it another chance.
