Fic: Heart in the Whole by verityburns - also available as podfic

Title: The Heart In The Whole
Author: [livejournal.com profile] verityburns
Pairing: Sherlock/John
Length: 102,000 in 21 completed chapters
Rating: PG - R most chapters. NC-17 later. Each chapter has its own rating.
Warnings: none
Verse: Sherlock BBC
Author's summary: Events after The Great Game leave Sherlock dependent on his best friend and colleague. But John has a secret of his own...
Reccer's comments: John becomes indispensable during Sherlock's recovery from a brain injury received in the pool incident.  I loved this as a WIP, and enjoyed it all over again as podfic. Take Hurt/Comfort and stir in generous quantities of UST and stir: it's a wonderful combination. It's terribly romantic, assuming a Sherlock who is inexperienced but not unwilling.

This was the very first Sherlock fic I ever read, and I have always loved it.

TBI: Traumatic Brain Injury?

Thanks. Though is this a polite way of saying Sherlock is mentally inferior?^^

Thank you for answering that. I've been burned before by reading novella-sized fic that went OOC or had a hasty ending. It's frustrating to invest so much in a fic and then have no satisfaction from it.
