Fic Rec: It's All Fine
Title: It's All Fine
Author: IronicNarwhal
Pairing: John/Sherlock
Length: 4557
Rating: Teen
Warnings: None
Verse: Sherlock BBC
Author Summary: In which there is sexual tension of an unresolved sort but it’s no big deal, and no one feels any need to change it anytime soon. Also, there are tribbles.
Reccer's Comments: The best part of UST is the U. Being twisted into giant knots of feels until having sex in an aquarium while wearing scuba gear and walrus masks seems not only plausible, but right is one of the main reasons to even read fanfic. Said tension, however is normally accompanied by a significant word count. That's a lot of writhing. This story is the Lindor Truffle version of UST. Instead of wading through an entire box of poorly labelled chocolates, waiting for the payoff that is not coconut maple, we are offered 4500 words of fast build, eyeball fixing tension. And it's wonderful. The beginning is a little shaky and full of exposition, but like a mouse sniffing the peanut butter on a glue trap, I soldiered through another paragraph or two and it was well worth it. I will also say that John calling everyone 'love' was kind of weird, but the rest of the story is so lovely, I didn't even care that it was OOC. And, as all fanfic readers know, pretty much all OOC stuff is a no-go, so, yes, it was that good. Enjoy. Unlike the truffles, at least fanfic doesn't cause weight gain.
