I love how fadedtwilight84's vids focus on Holmes' and Watson's stormy relationship in the Ritchie 'verse. Holmes is difficult and mercurial, but hot-tempered Watson is no less volatile, and "Battlefield" captures the frustration and anger generated when these two men collide—which, as you'll see in the vid, they do all too often. Despite the contentiousness, though, they are undeniably bound together. They themselves know this, and yet it's not a happy-making thought.

Fadedtwilight's excellent choice of scenes and song really highlight the reluctant combativeness, with lines like this:

These times when we climb so fast to fall again
I don't want to fall for it now
I never meant to start a war
You know I never want to hurt you
Don't even know what we're fighting for

Thematically, the vid holds together wonderfully: a battle between Holmes and Watson, but also between head and heart, between reason and passion. My black angsty shipper's soul loves it.
