Fic Rec: Beautiful Ideas

Title: Beautiful Ideas
Author: [livejournal.com profile] metisket
Pairing: Gen
Length: 2348 words
Rating: Gen
Verse: Sherlock BBC
Author's summary: Mike knew what would happen if he introduced John Watson to Sherlock Holmes. He knew exactly what would happen, and he did it anyway.
Reccer's comments: We only get to see a bit of Stamford on screen, but his character is fleshed out wonderfully here as a quietly but gleefully mischievous instigator who loves to watch sparks fly and has a soft spot for "the mad ones". Mike knows Sherlock, remembers John, and can't resist the urge to put them together and enjoy the best show in London. Seeing both Holmes and Watson through Stamford's eyes is especially fun. I've read this a good half-dozen times and it never fails to make me smile.

I loved this! I immediately went and read all of the author's other works and I adore their John. As cuddly as a pit viper, indeed. <3 Thanks for the rec, I hadn't caught this one before!
