Reccer's comments: I'm an enthusiastic slasher but so far most if not all of my recs here have been gen, so I decided it was time to fix that. This little gem is a favorite of mine, one of the ones I keep rereading. It's so sweet how in love they are <3. Also, when Sherlock bungles things, Mycroft steps in to smooth things over. It's always nice when we get to see the Holmes brothers actually caring about each other despite their usual bickering and sibling rivalry, etc. Even if the reader does affectionately headdesk at the idea of Sherlock asking Mycroft for help in human interaction.

Reccer's comments: Well, the first reason you should read this is because it’s very very hot. It’s also a well-written AU with an interesting look at what John and Sherlock would be like at a younger age. Rubyofkukundu is an extraordinary writer, and to me at least this is the premier “Sherlock and John meet at a much younger age” fic. It also has a lot of awesome 90s references if you’re into that sort of thing
